The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all Ezyquip Hire plant & equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. This role is responsible for the provision of technical auto-electrical advice and support to the management and operating teams, and their clients as required.

The Auto Electrician will accurately perform all duties with due consideration for Workplace Health and Safety requirements and regulations. This role is also responsible for providing workplace training and mentoring to apprentices across all functional auto-electrical areas.

As a representative of the Ezyquip business, the incumbent is required to present himself/herself in a professional manner at all times whilst conducting his/her duties.

Essential

• Trade Qualifications in Auto Electrics or similar
• Minimum Current C Class Drivers License (Manual)
• Current Construction Industry Blue or White Card

Desirable

• Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualifications
• Refrigerant Handling License
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Electrical Test and Tag
• Fire Extinguisher / Response Training
• Heavy Rigid Vehicle License (HR Class)
• Forklift and/or Crane Tickets

Essential

• Demonstrated experience in heavy vehicle/ mobile equipment electrical and maintenance
• Proven understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices and regulations
• Advanced technical and mechanical skills in variety of plant and equipment
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and problem solve complex electrical faults
• Well developed time management and organisational skills
• Proven willingness to accept responsibility and act with initiative

Desirable

• 5+ years post trade experience in the auto-electrical field
• Previous experience in a field service capacity
• Ability to provide direction and leadership
